Workshop on International Assessment of  Research and Development in
Simulation-based Engineering and Science 

[WTEC]

Learn about the current directions in Simulation-Based Engineering and Science (SBE&S)  from a panel of experts who have completed a study initiated by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and other U.S. Government agencies to examine the worldwide status and trends in this field. This FREE workshop will be held during 1:00am - 5:30pm on April 25, 2008 at NSF, 4201 Wilson Boulevard, Stafford I, Room 375, Arlington, VA  22230 (please note time change to the afternoon).

The World Technology Evaluation Center, Inc. (WTEC), the nation's leading organization for conducting international technology assessments, has recruited a panel of U.S. experts to study the advances in SBE&S research and development. The panel includes:

The panel will report on the status of Simulation-Based Engineering and Science around the world based on their visits to over 50 key academic and industrial institutions in Japan, China, and Europe. The panel will also compare findings with the latest research in the United States.

While there is no cost to attend the workshop, registration is required due to seating capacity and NSF security arrangements.
