Train 2,000 SME employees from approximately 100 companies in 10
selected sectors through: "Understanding Marketing Management" course
(delivered to all participants); Industry specific training to all
companies (total of 60,000 person hours); On-site consultations by Western
industry experts to selected companies

COMPANY SELECTION
Working Group will select approximately 100 companies from 10 target
sectors by May 21, 1999. Selection based on criteria developed by Working
Group

UNDERSTANDING
MARKETING MANAGEMENT COURSE
Delivered to 2,000 employees From May 31 - June 18th, 1999 Each
participant completes a needs assessment form to determine specific
training needs
INDUSTRY SPECIFIC
COURSES
From June 28, 1999 -March 31, 2000. Design based on needs assessments.
Courses on specific marketing topics relevant to each industry, e.g.
Packaging and Safety (Meat Industry) Pricing Contracts
(Construction Industry) 60,000 person hours training
COMPANY ON-SITE
CONSULTATIONS
Delivered to selected companies from September 03, 1999 -March 31,
2000. 10 experienced US industry specialists will work with up to 40
