Catalysis by Nanostructured Materials Workshop

[WTEC]

Current directions in Catalysis by Nanostructured Materials were discussed by a panel of experts who have completed a study initiated by the United States National Science Foundation (NSF) and other U.S. Government agencies to examine the worldwide status and trends in this field. This workshop was held on November 29, 2007 at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC)'s L. William Seidman Center at Virginia Square located at 3501 Fairfax Drive in Arlington, Virginia .

The World Technology Evaluation Center, Inc. (WTEC), the nation's leading organization for conducting international technology assessments, has recruited a panel of U.S. experts that studied the state of the art in Catalysis for Nanostructured Materials. Chaired by Dr. Robert Davis, the panel of experts includes:

The panel of experts reported on the status of Catalysis for Nanostructured Materials around the world based on their visits to key academic and industrial institutions in Japan, China, S. Korea and Europe (Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom). The distinguished panel compared findings with the latest research in the United States.

The panel will publish a written report approximately 6 months after the workshop; a PDF version will be made available on the WTEC website.
